DISPATCHER

SUMMARY:
Provides support to Field Technicians by tracking their progress on an hourly basis and reporting this progress to their supervisor. Additional tracking of specific time windows to assure technician is meeting customer compliance for time frames or specific commitments to time of service provided as provided by technician.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Include the following, other duties may be assigned:

Answering a multi-line telephone
Complete paperwork for check-in procedure and update each job correctly
Receive updates from technicians either over the phone
Interface with customers
Pre-calls subscribers to confirm order, time frames, C.O.D. etc.
Alert customers at set times throughout the day when technicians are running behind schedule.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED
Relevant related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be used in place of educational requirements

SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Basic math skills
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.

Computer:

Intermediate computer skills
Spreadsheet knowledge is essential (Excel or other cable based program CSG, Arris and I&R)
Knowledge of accounting, financial software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing

TECHNICIAN

SUMMARY:
Install and disconnect cable TV, standard, HDTV, and DVR, Moca cable boxes and cable modems for high speed internet

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Responsibilities include complete support of project management to include handling/directing work that must be include the following, other duties may be assigned.
Ability to drive a van, pick-up truck or similar vehicle
Read a map
Climb ladders heights of 32 feet
Frequently lift objects that weigh up to 75 pounds such as ladders, spools of cable, etc.
Bend, reach, stoop, kneel, sit and crawl during installation work
Manual dexterity to use hand and electric tools such as screw drivers, wire strippers/coring tools
No fear of heights or working in confined areas, crawl spaces or attics
Knowledge and use of basic electronic devices such as meters and test devices to determine signal
Install aerial or underground cable from the tap to the residence for connection to include attaching
Make connections to house receptacles or establish outlets based on customer’s desires
Verify cable signal using a signal meter or other testing devices
Interact with customers to include education of services in their home and a providing channel guide
Install basic digital cable, HDTV, and DVR boxes
Install cable modems for high speed internet and install software on customer’s home computer
Install MTA and all associated devices and connections to establish VoIP service
Perform disconnection of cable and high speed internet access services
Communicate with dispatcher after completion of each job
Collect and account for “collect on delivery” (COD) installations
Maintain sufficient inventory of installation materials and be accountable for usage
Report to work in compliance with the Company’s personal appearance and uniform policies
Complete annual ladder safety certification training
Adhere to safety practices and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Must have and ALWAYS maintain a current valid driver’s license and demonstrated ability to comply
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
Must consent to and meet established standards of a criminal background investigation
Must meet established criteria for an acceptable driving history
Must be able work a six day full time work week
The preceding functions have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned
